Alanna Berman is a Baltimore-based artist and educator whose work centers on the creative reuse of reclaimed materials. From designing and launching international plastic upcycling programs to chainstitch embroidery, she enjoys learning new processes and explores the ways material and process carry stories.  The tactile, hand-driven quality of her work is integral to its form, reflecting both the transformation of the material and the mark of the maker.
